Pinal County Emergency Communications Group

P.O. BOX 3516

Apache Junction, AZ 85217

About PCECG

The Pinal County Emergency Communications Group is a member of the ARRL Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES) and the Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service (RACES). We are always looking for new members of all operating classes that are interested in supporting the local emergency departments and the general public during times of disaster, as well as participating in public service and recreational events. No minimum experience is required, as we are continuously training and learning as a group.  Residency in Pinal County is helpful but not required. We realize that radio operators living along the county boundries may be interested in joining us, and that in an emergency your desire to help is more important than where you live.

The Pinal County Emergency Communications Group is a working EmComm group, not a club. A certain amount
of time invested in exercises, drills and other events will be required. Please consider whether you have the ability to make this commitment before you join us.

Mission Statement

To operate and maintain reliable and continuous emergency backup communications in support of Pinal County during times of emergency.

This corps of emergency communicators are unpaid volunteers, in the spirit of service and duty to the nation, dedicated to the safety and welfare of the community we serve. Our vision for the future is that of continuous training to improve our skills, and improvement of the amateur EmComm function within the county
