The LCROSS and Asteroid Hunter Mission Patches

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The LCROSS patch depicts the Centaur headed for the Moon, and displays the motto "Lux Ex Tenebris," which translates to "Light From Darkness." The small number "17" is a tribute to the seventeen American astronauts who have perished aboard US spacecraft. It also includes a small LIT patch as a connection between the two groups.

I still have an ample supply of the LCROSS patch, plus complimentary stickers. If you wish to acquire a patch, please send a stamped, self-addressed #10 envelope to the address below, along with $3.00 per patch. I'll send you a couple of stickers for free.

The Asteroid Hunter patch symbolizes the nightly hunt for Near Earth Objects that may threaten us, and the efforts of amateur and professional astronomers in obtaining astrometry and photometry data for these bodies. The motto means "Seize the Night."  If you wish to acquire a patch, please send a stamped, self-addressed #10 envelope to the address below, along with $2.50 per patch. I'll send you a couple of vinyl stickers for free with each patch (they look great on scopes and other stuff).

The Lunar Impact Team patches are all sold out. In the future, if enough folks put up the cost of another order (minimum of 100 patches at $2.25 each, I may place a second order with my patch supplier.

Note- I designed and purchased the patches for two reasons; I wanted to have them and thought others may also. The cost is what I paid, not selling anything, just recovering the cost of making them.
